SOULIA operates this store and website, including all information, content, features, tools, products, and related services, to provide you, as a customer, with a personalized shopping experience (hereinafter the “Services”). SOULIA is a store powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide you with the Services. This Privacy policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you access or use the Services, make a purchase or other transaction, or communicate with us in any other way. In the event of any conflict between our Terms of service and this Privacy policy, this Privacy policy shall prevail with respect to the collection, processing, and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy policy carefully. By accessing and using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy policy and understand the terms regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy policy.
The personal information we collect or process
When we use the term "personal information", we are referring to information that identifies you or that can reasonably be linked to you or another individual. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or made non-identifiable, such that it cannot identify you or be reasonably linked to you. We may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from such personal information, depending on how you interact with the Services, your place of residence, and to the extent permitted or required by applicable law:
- Contact information including your name, address, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.
- Financial information including credit card, debit card, and bank account numbers, payment card information, bank account information, transaction details, payment method, payment confirmation, and other payment details.
- Account information including your username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings.
- Transaction information including items you view, add to your cart, add to your wish list, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, as well as your past transactions.
- Data from the 3D scan of your feet including images captured during the scan, the generated 3D scan, and physical measurements derived from your foot, when you use our scanning feature powered by Volumental. This data category is detailed in the dedicated section below.
- Your communications with us including information you include in your communications with us, such as when you submit a customer service inquiry.
- Device information including information about your device, browser, or network connection, your IP address, and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information including information about your interaction with the Services, such as how and when you access or interact with the Services.
Sources of personal information
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you including when you create an account, access or use the Services, communicate with us, or otherwise provide us with your personal information;
- Automatically through the Services including from your device when you use our products or services or access our websites, and through the use of cookies and similar technologies;
- From our service providers including when we engage them to implement certain technologies and when they collect or process your personal information on our behalf;
- From our partners or other third parties.
3D scan of your feet using Volumental technology
Our website offers a 3D foot scanning feature, powered by Volumental technology, that allows you to discover your foot measurements (length, width, and other characteristics) and familiarize yourself with the scanning process.
Nature of the data collected
When you use this feature, we collect the following information through Volumental AB:
- Images captured by your device’s camera during the scan.
- The 3D scan generated of your feet.
- Derived measurements (length, width, arch height, heel-to-toe length, and other physical characteristics of the foot).
- Technical information about your device and your use of the service.
This data falls under the category of biometric data as defined by applicable regulations, insofar as it describes physical characteristics specific to your foot.
Purpose of the scan
The scan performed on our website is intended solely for demonstration and informational purposes: it allows you to determine your foot measurements and familiarize yourself with 3D scanning technology before, if applicable, placing an order for custom-made shoes.
Important: the scan performed on our website is not used to manufacture your custom-made shoes. If you wish to order a custom-made pair, you will need to perform a second scan directly on the platform of our manufacturing partner, Zellerfeld, which collects and processes this second scan independently. We never share the data from the scan performed on our own website with Zellerfeld.
Data processor: Volumental AB
The scan is technically performed by Volumental AB, a swedish company (Söder Mälarstrand 45, 11825 Stockholm, Sweden), which acts as a data processor on behalf of SOULIA for this processing. The data is hosted and processed within the European economic area (EEA). The scan is processed using Volumental’s proprietary platform, marketed under the name "FitTech™", which refers to Volumental’s own artificial intelligence and computer vision technology, not a separate third-party provider.
For more information on Volumental AB’s data protection practices, please review its privacy policy available at the following address: https://volumental.com/policy/privacy-policy.
Minimum age
In accordance with Volumental AB’s requirements, this scanning feature is not intended for individuals under the age of 16 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Retention period for scans
Volumental AB does not specify a fixed retention period for 3D scans. Your scan is retained until you request its deletion, or until it is no longer necessary for the purposes described above, in accordance with Volumental AB’s privacy policy. You may request the deletion of your scan at any time, including by following the instructions provided in the email containing your scan results, or by contacting us directly.
Your rights regarding the scan
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection described in the "Your rights and choices" section of this Privacy policy, which also apply to data derived from your scan. You may request the deletion of your scan at any time by contacting us using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy, or by contacting Volumental AB directly at privacy@volumental.com.
